Iconography and Mythology
The aim of this course is to enable students to identify key figures, symbols, and narratives found in Western and Eastern mythologies, and to analyze the iconographic representations of mythological characters in art, literature, popular culture, and digital visual narratives. The course also aims to develop students’ ability to interpret cultural codes in mythological narratives and relate them to historical iconography.
