The course begins by introducing tools and techniques of linear expression. Students will create volume and mass studies by applying light and shadow, texture, and perspective rules. The focus will be on analyzing the relationships between organic and geometric forms and expressing them linearly. Studies of human anatomy will help students create drawings using correct proportions. Different techniques and materials will be used to express the relationships between figure, object, and space.
