Signal Processing

Physical transforms of signals, sampling, the concept of periodicity of the sampled signal in frequency domain and aliasing. The sampling frequency and its specification conditions. The convolution sum, impulse response. The mathematical transforms of signals: The z-transform, the transfer function and its applications, continuous-time Fourier transform, discrete-time Fourier Transform, discrete Fourier series, discrete Fourier Transform, the relations between Fourier transforms, time and frequency domain circles. Mathematical transforms of the systems: Obtaining the difference equations from the differential equations. Various approximation methods (Euler's forward and backward approximations and their different interpretations (transforming method of the differential equations of analog filters (AF) to the difference equations of digital filters (DF) via using Euler's backward difference method). Basics of FIR and IIR digital filters.
