Design Studio III
Environmental and site plan studies focus on the definition of the existing texture. While analysing street silhouettes, the methods of establishing a relationship with the existing urban part texture are examined. Principles and analyses of new building production within the urban fabric are discussed. Also, structural system design and structure-material relationship are emphasised. Storeyed buildings, complex mass compositions and the way they come together are emphasised. These processes aim to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills in urban design and building production.
